Singing with My Eyes Closed…

Sitting with the Lord mainly cause I woke up out of the blue and could not go back to sleep. I’ve been listening to this song, “Goodness of God” performed live by CeCe Winans. I love her voice! I tell Alexa, play “Goodness of God” by Cece Winans on repeat. And I listen to it over and over again. This song wrecks me every time but especially the part that says, “All my life you have been faithful and all my life you have been so so good, with every breath that I am able oh I will sing of the goodness of God!” Oh my!!!!! I have a moment with the Lord right there on the spot every time. When I reflect on His faithfulness and goodness to me all my life! Even when I haven’t been faithful, he’s been faithful! Always and eternally! I’m not a lead singer but I can hold it down in the alto section of the choir. But if you were to be around when that song hits my Spirit, you’d think l was aiming for the Grammys. Cause I can’t help myself! I sing it with my eyes tightly closed, one hand over my heart and one hand lifted toward heaven. I’m singing of the goodness of God! My dogs who were sleeping raise up their heads with ears perked looking at me like, Oh Lord, there she goes again, having a moment. They know! My late husband used to say, “everything in our house was saved!” So yeah the dogs have had hands laid on them too. LOL Anyway getting back to the Goodness of God! I purpose to take a moment out of every day to reflect, meditate and yes shout about His goodness. When you’re blessed with more than threescore years on earth, the goodness of God has a deeper richer meaning. Time has packed in more experiences, more deliverances, more restorations, more victories! So reflecting on His goodness turns into praises with hands lifted, tears flowing and feet dancing. My sitting with the Lord time becomes a praise dancing party in a matter of moments because God has been so good to me! “All my life He has been faithful and all my life He has been so good with every breath that I am able. Oh I will sing of the goodness of God!! Your goodness is running after it’s running after me!!! With my life laid down I surrender now I give you everything. Your goodness is running after it’s running after me!” Whew let me sit down before my knees start telling the story too!

Just sharing my morning musings in hopes that we will take a moment to reflect on God’s goodness and faithfulness over the years. Get your praise on!
