God has a plan and design for every life. Remembering that certainly let’s me offer much grace in many situations and encounters with others. It helps me approach my interactions with heart intention as opposed to always looking at the outward exteriors of people’s persona. I love good hearted people. I am drawn to them and the outward appearance of people’s lives doesn’t often affect me. It takes intentionality to get past what we see and the automatic response to judge people by their exterior accordingly. We can miss out on the best part of a person when we do. And that’s the heart. And I must say that it takes a heart check on our part to not give in to the tendency to stop at what we see. There’s so much more to us than what we wear, what we do, what we weigh, tall or short, thick or thin, our clothing choice or style. Nothing wrong with any of it but it takes a genuine heart to see the best in someone beyond that! I’m guilty of stopping at one look instead of getting to know the real person sometimes. My desire is to be better daily. I love genuineness in a person. I love laughter and humor. I love kindness. All the things that cannot be detected outwardly. God loves us beyond our rough edges. Lord help us to love like that…
